About Us

Who we are

'I Dress Myself' is an independent, eco-friendly screen printing business, established in May 2006 by Peter and Hannah Conway. Helen Bartholomew started with us in April 2008 and Emma Godfrey joined the team in July. Emma has an impressive ten years screen printing experience and works with Helen to keep the printing service running smoothly. Our print studio is based in Nottingham city centre, close to the train station.

What we do

We work with a number of UK-based artists to produce our own range of printed products, which are available from our online shop. All of our products are limited edition and printed by hand onto high quality, ethically-sourced garments and recycled paper with water-based inks.

We offer an eco-friendly screen printing service and print T-shirts and posters. We work with businesses large and small, in both the public and private sectors, providing a complete screen printing and management service from concept through to finished article.

We only source from manufacturers with a robust ethical policy, use eco friendly water based inks and re-use and recycle as much as possible. We are constantly working to reduce our impact on the environment in all areas of our business and offer complete transparency about our practices. We think we're the most environmentally friendly screen printer in the UK.

About I Dress Myself

What we think

We see our manufacturing as a craft and are committed to producing high quality products with attention to detail. Rather than choosing to increase productivity at all costs, we have chosen to retain our small size and independent status so that we can continue to develop good relationships with our clients and provide an excellent service and top results.

Our ethical and environmentally-friendly stance means a lot to us. We think that our approach has helped improve our efficiency, the quality of our service, and our relationship with clients. We also believe it's helped to grow our business and hope that our progress will help to inspire other businesses to take a strong ethical and environmental stance too.

We are proud of our collective ethos and actively promote the work of the contributing artists. Each artist receives commission on their design so that, when a design does well, so do they. We aim to bring together work from established artists, emerging artists and those who have never considered their ideas and doodles to be art.
