A Century of Olympic Posters
As well as visiting the terribly nice people at Print Club London at the weekend, we also popped into the V&A Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green to have a look at their exhibition entitled ‘A Century of Olympic Posters’. The title is pretty self explanatory, obviously a build up to the big hype of the London Olympics in 2012. They have some really amazing large format posters on display, using all sorts of techniques, from screen-printing to litho and digital printing. They have a few small format (A2ish) reproductions for sale for £15 each (although we were a bit disappointed that they didn’t have our personal favourites!). If you get a chance to see it, I would definitely recommend it. It’s free and is on until 7th September 2008. If you can’t get to see it, then you can buy the book online.
