Co-operative living and toasty feet
We've just moved house from a rented house to a (much smaller) detached flat that's part of Ned's housing cooperative in Nottingham. Co-operative life has been great so far and everyone's helped to decorate the new place and install a wood burner to heat the place. It's a bit like a swedish chalet I think and, even though we've only moved up the road, the first morning it felt like we'd woken up on holiday in the countryside. Our little girl loves it as she's got some safe outdoor space to run around.
The wood burner has been amazing. It's a mighty 12 kw and super-efficent for burning in smoke-free areas. It's called the Yorkshire. It only needs stoking every couple of hours or so and keeps us nice and toasty.
Next week we're going to start joining in on communal meals too.
