The Bonsai Projects
Biography
The Bonsai Projects (plural) is Ali Hazeldene (single serving). A Nottingham based artist, musician and poet.
He mainly works in biro sketches, tester paints and found discarded wood (usually abandoned building materials) and build up layers of masked areas and sticking an illustration on top (sort of a rubbish collage). Also he feeds the images into Photoshop and follows a similar process with my photography. He thinks lo-fi illustrations is where it's at for him at the moment, and says "every week I go and check out the most changeable up to date gallery there is by mincing around a few record shops".
